We celebrated New Years (at 6:30pm) with our traditional sparkling cider toast, noise makers and poppers. We watched a movie and put most of the kids to bed on time. (Ali, Eli and Jake have all been sick over break.)
Logan wanted to stay up till midnight, but even Jason and I weren't even planning to stay up that late so I told him he could if he hung out in his room and let him have a portable DVD player to watch a movie on. I wasn't sure he'd really make it, but he was still up at 11:30pm. I was feeling bad that he was hanging out all alone, so I went into his room and we rung in the new year playing UNO and talking about the Space Race.

Too bad his grandma wasn't still there. I would have celebrated it with him. I welcomed 2020 by myself and would have loved his company.
I remember thinking staying up till midnight was so cool. Now I do it all the time and wish I would just go to bed early. Hope everyone is feeling better!!!
