Twins

Mine and Ali's dresses kind of matched this week, so I had to get a picture.

New Car

We bought our van in 2010 in anticipation of baby Eli, so here he is waving goodbye to make way for....

Our new car! Jason did a great job doing research and looking around and found us a 2019 van with 30 miles on it! Basically brand new for a used price that he then negotiated down even more. We love it (and I love Jason).

Style

I got a kick out of his look this day.

Birthday Parties

We were so glad we decided to celebrate Ali and Logan's birthdays a week before their birthdays...it ended up being the couple days before the stay at home order and we wouldn't have been able to have them! As it was, we had Logan's party on Friday the 13th and Ali's on the next evening and a great (and loud and wild) time was had at each. Logan's friends had basement gun wars and then video games. He was thankfully happy with a simple home made ice cream cake which we somehow didn't get a picture of.

She and her friends (and nicely her brothers) played Harry Potter Scene it.

It was such a joy to welcome these two into our lives twelve years ago. We love them so much!

New Loves

Jake's two new passions are "making books" where he staples papers together, draws, and either has us write words or sounds them out himself;  (So proud of that!)

And he loves to play games. If only I enjoyed games more...

Children's Museum

With the exception of one year, our family has had a membership to our Children's Museum for the last 11 years! We've enjoyed all our visits and have been grateful for this resource for fun things to do as a family of little kids. Hard to believe we're moving on to a new stage--finding things tweens and kids like!

Well Rounded

Sacrament Meeting Talk

Ali gave her first talk in Sacrament Meeting at the beginning of the year, one of the first among the new 12 year olds to do so. She did a great job!

Old Fashioned

Even in this technological age, some things have stayed the same: fighting for, I mean reading, the Sunday paper's comics.

Eye Doc

Jake had to get his eyes checked before kindergarten (!) in the fall, which he was really looking forward to, for some reason, and had as much fun as he'd hoped. He didn't do well on the colorblind test ("what number?") so another year or so will tell us if he's colorblind like his grandpa, or just too young this year to understand what we were asking for.
