Strong Logan

Logan bought a bench press (and put it together all on his own!). Between that, a month of a gym membership, and weight room time with both track and football he's gained a lot of muscle mass.

The picture is blurry, but you get the idea that with his newfound strength he likes to try and bring in all my groceries in one trip!

He's getting so big-he'll be on a mission soon (wink, wink to my dad- that's one of his famous sayings that happens to be true in this case!).

Pep Band

Ali tried being in Pep band (which plays at the home basketball games) and decided it wasn't for her. I was proud of her for trying something new. I'm always grateful for my kids' bright blond hair at these kind of events- it makes them easy to pick them out of the crowd!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a lovely Thanksgiving. Ali and her friends had a "Friends-giving" at our house the day before. 

Jason and Eli ran the Turkey Trot 5K for the second year, finishing 3 minutes faster than last time!

Amy and Steve hosted us as well as our niece Bethany and her husband Quinten, and Ethan and Emily were home too!

We ate yummy food and played games and had a great evening.

BYU vs West Virginia

Jason took the older three kids to West Virginia in early November to see them play BYU. The kids all bought their own tickets:) Jason took them out of school on a Friday so they could drive the 10 hours to get there. 

Logan spent a lot of time making this amazing sign, but sadly they didn't allow signs in the stadium!

They lost 37-7...yikes! But they all agreed it was still fun to be at a game in person and enjoy the fun atmosphere.

Jake and I decided we needed to have some fun of our own while everyone else was gone. Jake had never been to Chuck E Cheese's and I decided that needed to change! We had so much fun!

Library Trips

We still make it to the library at least a couple of times a month, in spite of busy lives. Jake almost always comes with me, Ali and Eli come about half the time, and Logan never comes anymore. And 2-3 bags full of books to return come each time too!

Band Concert

I was waiting for Ali and Logan after their amazing band concert when my friend saw me and told me her son had just texted that they were all going out for ice cream. The moms are always the last to know! I mentioned to my friend I'd been waiting not only to give my kids a ride (no longer needed), but also for a photo. She told me she'd said the same to her son, and he sent her this:

So she sent it along to me:) I'm grateful my kids have good friends who make them happy.

Follow the Prophet

Logan smashed his pop can like this and then said to me, "Follow the Prophet, mom." Love this boy.

Crazy Hair Day

Jake liked his messy 'do for crazy hair day.

Cooking

Eli enjoys cooking, and I've been trying to remember that when he is bored lately. We've gotten some yummy things out of his boredom!
