I often wake up in the morning and find the most amazing things have been created while I slept, like this morning when Ali made chairs for all her dolls!

St. Patrick's Day

What did you have for breakfast on St. Patrick's Day? We had Green Eggs and Ham! So fun!

Happy Birthday!

It feels like we have been celebrating Logan and Ali's birthdays forever (because we really have), but today was the actual day so we had a family dinner party. Logan had fun helping me set the tables and making sure they looked perfect.

We just did cupcakes for this party, and the six candles almost didn't fit; they're getting so OLD!

And here is the wonderfully large group that came! We feel so blessed to have so many people around who love Ali and Logan to help us celebrate them.

Logan and Ali are such wonderful kids. Jason and I truly feel blessed to be their parents. Happy Birthday, my loves!

Spider-Man

Spider-Man is a regular around here, and I love that he is!

Mother Son Dance

I had a great time on my date with Logan to the Mother Son Dance at his school. Unlike Ali, whom I had to practically force into a skirt before her dance, Logan was super excited to dress like "a gentleman" and had his clothes picked out and laid out a week in advance. He also went through my closet to pick out my outfit and then chose the jewelry to match! I have to say, he had good taste, and we made quite a striking couple! He was thrilled to get a real boutonniere (he has a fake red flower he often sticks in his shirt pocket on Sundays).

Again, there was no actual dancing that occurred, and the highlights for Logan were the snacks (especially this cupcake with the umbrella) and the fact that the lady taking pictures for the yearbook wanted to take our picture;)

Daddy Daughter Dance

Ali and Logan's school hosted a Daddy Daughter dance and then the next weekend a Mother Son dance. Ali was so excited to go with her Dad and counted down all week. She loved getting a corsage (she had never seen one before, but loved it) and going out past her bedtime!

There was actually no dancing involved at the dance, but they had fun making crafts and eating treats. Jason felt special because even though there were lots of girls calling out hello to her and packs of girls running around together, she stuck with him.

Teo's Visit

Teo come for a visit a little bit ago, and as usual my kids loved having him. This time there was an added bonus for me: usually my kids don't like to be upstairs or downstairs by themselves (a sibling will do, but I am better), but I guess Teo counted as another "person" and they didn't mind being on the main floor with just him. Eli even spent time out in the backyard with him every day, just the two of them, for longer than he plays out there with his siblings or me!

While Teo loves all of us, there is a clear favorite for him: Jason. I totally get it; he is my favorite too. If Jason was downstairs or upstairs, Teo was sitting by the stairs waiting for him to come back!

Food Faces

Even though the lolly pop was huge, Eli was not deterred!

Eli proclaimed this messy-face mustache was a "bad guy motorcycle man mustache" and made a face to match!

Enough of the Cold!

When even the kids are tired of the snow and complaining about the cold, you know winter truly needs to be over. Ali and Logan chose to do their homework on the heat vent the other day, one of my favorite spots in the house!

A New Routine

Jason started a new job last week that gets him home about 20-30 minutes later than he used to. The kids used to read books in bed until he came home, but I didn't think they would be able to stay awake all snug in their beds that much later (they sometimes fell asleep before he got home even when he was coming home earlier), so now they get to watch a movie until he comes home. Tonight I looked over and they were watching all snuggled together. It just makes my heart so happy to see proof that they love each other!

Pretty Ali

Ali went to her friend's Princess Party and came home looking so glamorous we had to take a picture!

No Room

Sometimes I'm amazed Eli fits in his bed with all his friends...and on this day day it looked like he fell asleep in the middle of a conversation with them:)
