Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so fun fun around here! We had our ward party a few days before Halloween and of course Ali couldn't resist the face painting:
And Halloween night was one of the nicest we've ever had! It was probably 60 degrees with no wind or rain; so nice! Usually the older kids are off and running from house to house, but this year they were happy to move slow enough for Jake to keep up, which was sweet and fun. Jake loved his first experience with trick or treating. At each house he would do the following in this order: walk up to each door on his own, pet and laugh at any dogs at the house, happily take a treat and stick it right in his mouth (wrapper and all), scream at me for taking the wrapped candy out of his mouth, try to go inside the house, and then be annoyed at me for pulling him back to the sidewalk. But then he would realize there was another house up ahead and happily move along to start the process over again!

My woopie cushion, super man, ninja, and vampress were adorable and so much fun to be with!
After about an hour of trick or treating, we stopped back at home. Jason then took Logan and Ali out for another hour while Jake and I stayed home with Eli who wanted to give out the candy.
Happy Halloween!

The Game of Life

Ali played The Game of Life with her cousins and loved it. She wanted to play at home but we don't have the game, so in true Eldredge Kids fashion she made her own.

A REAL Rainbow

The kids went outside after a rainstorm the other day and I heard shrieks and cheers, "A REAL RAINBOW!" They were more than a bit excited!

Happy Birthdays

I love celebrating my birthday with this cute boy! It was fun this year to get to have both of parents in town to celebrate. I love my family.

Strange but true

As we all know, Jake is a super picky eater, which is why I thought his phase of liking tomatoes was strange! He'd eat a whole tomato in one sitting, funny boy.

Conference

I got to watch women's conference with my favorite little (not-so-little) girl!
And then it warmed my heart to see these little blond heads watching general conference the next weekend!

Happy Birthday Eli!

Our boy is 6! He asked for a monster birthday and we had a blast. We made a graveyard cake:
I made these games: pin the boo on the ghost and pumpkin bean bag toss. We also played shoot the monsters with dart guns, ghost potato sack races, and a pinata.
We had a great group of friends to help celebrate:
And Logan set the mood for the spooky party by being a severed head as friends came in the door.
On his actual birthday, Eli got a visit from the "birthday bunny." I'm not sure where that idea came from, but she sure looked cute, and it made in feel very loved.
We sure are grateful for our Eli. He is such a fun-loving, happy, friendly, helpful, wonderful boy. We are so lucky he is ours!

Good Start

Jake grabbed the Book of Mormon off of the table and handed it to Ali; she scooped him up and said, "Ok, I'll read some to you," and started reading to him. So sweet!

Wrigley Field Family Day

Jason has a friend who is a season ticket holder of the Cubs. He gave Jason his tickets to Family Day which a not an a game day, but rather an opportunity for season ticket holders to go and have free reign of Wrigley Field. They got to go everywhere: the field, the dugouts, and anywhere else they wanted to go! The kids had a great time with their dad.

Read to Me?

At least a dozen times a day Jake will bring me a book a sign please. How can you say no to this face? I can't, so I stop whatever I'm doing, sit down, pull him on my lap and enjoy a book with my littlest bookworm.
