Homework

Our Middle Schoolers have a lot more homework this year. Ali especially works very hard to get things done, and done well, often finishing things on the first day of the week rather than waiting until the end of the week (which is sometimes an option). Logan does a really good job at getting right to his responsibilities when he gets home too, and has benefited more than once from having the same classes (at different times) as his sister, by borrowing her notes to study or photocopying her blank worksheets that he forgot to bring home!

Magic

Logan and Eli have both gotten magic cards lately and these three love to play!

Play Art

Jake likes to "play art" with me. You "play art" by Jake gathering all sorts of art supplies that he and I then have to create something with, and the give our creations to each other. Cute kid, he always acts so surprised and touched by what I present him with ("awe...thanks mom!).

Terraria

These three are very into the video game Terraria these days and often can be found either playing it or researching in their books on how to do something in the game. This morning they were having a "Terraria Book Club Meeting"!

Sick Kid

Jake had another bout of throwing up that was hard to kick, though thankfully so far not as bad as it was this summer. On this day home from school sick he made himself quite a nest from which to watch TV.

Bow

Logan decided he wanted to carve himself a bow and spent a lot of one day working on it (even postponing technology time to do so!). It looked really cool, but unfortunately broke on the first pull of the string. Ah, well, at least it was fun to make.
