Snow

We've had a couple snowy days this last week and the kids, especially Jake and Eli, have been loving it. Jake and Eli will go out for an hour or so, come in to warm up and dry their snow clothes, and go out again! Jake likes to eat the snow and probably ate his weight in snow while he was out there today.

St George

Jason and Logan took advantage of less than $100 round trip tickets to Las Vegas to go visit Jason's mom in St George. It was a good change of scenery for them and a fun adventure for Logan. He was excited to fly on the plane.
They were both excited for the food places unique to Utah.
And for the 60 degree weather in January!

Jason and Logan both love to hike so they got out and did that a couple of times.

Dinner out!

We thought it would be good for the kids to get a little bit of a break from each other too, and then laughed when they would do daily video chats, and Ali and Logan would chat back and forth on their school's chat feature all day (which is apparently something they frequently do anyway, even when they're doing school in the same room!). See, they do like each other!

They had a great time!

Back to School

For the first time in 312 days Eli and Jake got to go back to school in person! They are currently going twice a week for about 2.5 hours each day, but it's something! Can you tell how excited Jake was and how confident and protective Eli was?
All of our bus stop friends are A day kids (last names in the first half of the alphabet) and all decided to return to in-person learning. It was so fun to see all the kids (and moms)!
Jake finally got to ride the bus: that may have been the best part for him!

Phone Finds

Sometimes I pick up my phone and find things that make me giggle.

Digital Imagery

Ali enjoyed her digital imagery class last semester, especially making some simple video games.

Elder Wagstaff

Our nephew and cousin Ethan is off to serve his mission in Florida. We were glad to get to wish him farewell.

We hadn't been with our cousins since about October and the first thing we noticed when we walked in the door was that in those three months he had grown taller than Emily and Paige! These kids are growing up; they're going to be on missions soon (some of them VERY soon)!

Happy 2021!

We rang in the new year as a family when the timer went off, and then most of us went to bed more or less on time. Logan wanted to stay up again, so he watched a movie and I joined him again shortly before midnight to finish the movie and then play uno until midnight. 2020 was a different year, for sure, but I actually thought it turned out pretty good. Here's to another great year!
