Impressed

The other day Jake called for me to come upstairs to see something "really cool," so I went up, expecting to be "mom impressed" by whatever it was, and was actually glad he called me up to see these cool sun rays! Of course, he needed me to take a picture (and then he needed to immediately see the picture).

Bulls and Wings

Logan and Ali have been enjoying watching BYU football with their dad this season, so when one game wasn't on a channel we get, the three of them went to Buffalo Wild Wings till 11pm to watch the game!

Fun Run

The Elementary School had their annual fun run and my presence was requested at both the fifth grade run and the first grade run, which were, of course, at different times of the day. But I'm glad they want me around, so of course I went. Cute boys.

Revolutionary War Reenactment

Cantigy had a Revolutionary War Reenactment (have I mentioned how much I love Cantigny?) and so of course I made everyone go for a family fun day. Jake kept saying how excited he was because it was his first ever reenactment, but I worried the noise of the cannons would be a bit much for him, and it was. He spent the whole time with his ears plugged. Next year I'll have to remember to bring the noise canceling headphones I bought for Jason for when he works from home (because kids are loud!). But it was a good show, and then it was fun to wander and talk to the reenactors who are so knowledgeable and passionate about the history.

Magna Tiles

We used to have lots of magna tiles, bought originally because Logan discovered them in preschool and loved them. But over the years the were played with less and less and in one of my frequent purges, they were sold. But, I soon regretted that and wished I still had them (this is me wanting them, not even the kids), so one day I found some knock off brand and bought a bunch. Just because I wanted to. ALL the kids had a blast with them, especially at first when they were new again, but I've learned my lesson and we'll have magna tiles here forever.
