Blackberry Farm

The kids' school sponsored a night at Blackberry Farm, and we took advantage of the cheap ticket price. The kids loved the carousal and should have felt lucky that Mom let them go at all, let alone more than once (they make me SO dizzy!).

Ali especailly loved the zip line and went again and again, not caring that she had to spend 5+ minutes waiting between turns.

Logan loved all the big, twisty slides. Ali liked the smaller ones better and helped Eli feel safe on them too.

We didn't see any animals on the farm...but we did love riding the train and eating our hot dogs for dinner. Not a bad night out for $8.

Belly

I'm not sure why, but Eli has been walking around like this a lot lately.

Last Day!

It's hard to believe, but Preschool is OVER! Summer is HERE! Let the fun begin!

Here they were on the first day, for comparison sake.

These two are ready for Kindergarten. They want to go out and buy their lunch boxes and get their backpack tags ready yesterday! As for me, I'm glad I have a couple of months before I have to send them away from me all day long!

Bubble Party

The second to last day of School was a bubble and pizza party. Parents were invited and the kids were super excited. I was tired of trying to find places for Eli to go when I had stuff to do with the big kids, so I decided to bring him along. I was a bit worried since it is right during nap time, but I shouldn't have been; he loved it! He walked into the room with a look of wonder on his face, and after a few minutes told me, "this is a happy place!" He loved doing all the things Ali and Logan did, and Ali loved showing him where he was supposed to go.

The only things my kids ate from the lunch were the cookies and the juice, but I guess it was their party so they should get what they want, right?

We have loved Mrs. Beghtol. She is so calm and sweet with the kids. And they learned so much this year.

I love that Mrs. Maravilla seemed to have a soft spot in her heart for Logan. She loved Ali too, but every time I was in the classroom, she always had lots of cute stories to tell me about Logan. How can I not love someone who loves my kids?

What a great year! Kindergarten here we come!

Smitten

We're all in love with our new cousin/niece Korrali, but it is Ali who is truly smitten with her. She can't stand to be in the same room as her and not be holding her.

Of course, Daddy is pretty smitten with her too, which is so fun for me to watch. 

If Ali couldn't be holding her baby cousin, she contented herself with pretending she was a baby too and doing everything Korrali did:) Cute baby girls.

Eli's Car

This is what Eli likes to do when we're outside:

He sits in the car. He doesn't drive around in it, he sits. It is the one place he wants to observe more than participate.

Ballerina

One of Ali's favorite things to play is "Angelina Ballerina" which is her pretending to go to dance class. So you can imagine her joy when a friend gave us one of her old ballet outfits. I think a real ballet class might be in order.

Pajammies

Logan loves pajamas, or "pajammies" as he calls him. Most days he asks if he can change into his pajammies around three in the afternoon. So you can see why a couple pair of new summer pjs made his day. My sweet, grateful boy couldn't say thank you enough or get into them soon enough.

Spring!

Spring has finally sprung. And we have proof in our front tree.

Napping Friends

Eli thinks he doesn't need a nap anymore. He's wrong. Not only because I don't want him to be done--  he's a monster the day after he doesn't nap (though strangly, he's fine the afternoon of the day he doesn't sleep). I've found sometimes having a friend or two in bed with him helps him fall asleep. Whatever it takes.

Doc

One of Ali's new favorite things to play is Doc McStuffins, which is a show they watch in the morning while I'm still sleeping. Basically she pretends to be a vet. She is so cute and often invites me to play too.

Eli's Dress Up

This was the outfit Eli chose to dance in today. But truth be told his favorite dress up is a Cinderella dress. He makes a really beautiful Cinderella, but I haven't had the heart to take a picture of him in it...
