Temple Frosties

It's become a tradition to get a Frosty from Wendy's on the way home from temple trips. January's trip was extra special since it was the first time Logan got to baptize! Jake gets to go to a friend's house while we're gone, but he gets a Frosty too!

Volunteer

Ali officially decided she wants to get the High School Graduation honor of having volunteered 150 hours during High School. So, she is keeping her eyes out for opportunities (and so is her mom). She has about 55 hours so far, so she seems to be on track, especially since she can rack up the hours in the summers. This was her helping get a local Elementary School ready for a Valentine's Day party. It helps when her friend's mom is running the event, and is way more fun when some of her friends volunteer too.

 

Seat belt

For some reason, I've been having to remind this one to put on his seat belt lately. One such day, he said he'd obeyed in such a tone that I knew I needed to look- and he was on the floor between two chairs, with the seat belt from one seat buckled into the buckle of the other. Teenagers.

Whittling

We got Eli a whittling kit on a whim for Christmas, and he has discovered that he really enjoys the new hobby!

Lego Photography

Jake planned and took this series of photos where lego mini-figures came into contact with life-sized things that related to them. I thought it was very clever, and that some of them turned out so cool! He also chose to have them in black and white-no idea how he even knew that was possible.

 

Downtown Again

One of Ali's best friends decided that she wanted to go downtown and to Chinatown for her birthday; so Ali got to spend another day going to most of the places she, Jason and I had gone to a few weeks before! The places were still fun, and the company was good (and different), so she had another great day.

 

Redecorating

Logan has been redecorating his room and decided it was time to part with most of his model airplanes. We took a picture to remember them by. He's growing up; he's gonna be on a mission soon!

 

Late Night Donuts

We have made the happy discovery that if we go to our neighborhood Dunkin Donuts in the evening and order one donut, they will often give us 4-12 more donuts for free!

 

New Years Bowling

We celebrated New Year's Day with these three fun cousins, all home at the same time for the first time in 3years!
