Tallest

The day is finally here: Logan is officially the tallest member of the family! A little more than a year ago he was shorter than both me and Jason- that's quite a year of growth! At his yearly physical we quantified what we'd observed: he had grown over six inches and 30 pounds in one year! (Note: This post was created back in May, it just took a while for me to post it.)

Blackberry Farm

Yes, we have a membership to Blackberry Farm again this year, though this time, I just renewed it for me and Jake. So this summer, whenever it's cool(ish), Jake and I sneak away and play. Lucky me!

Bird Lady

For the past couple of weeks Ali has had five birds in her room: two of her own, and three she was pet sitting for a friend. Add that to the four who live across the street that we were also caring for, and that's a lot of birds!

In Town

One of the best parts about living in Chicago is that friends and family often(ish) come into town for business or pleasure. And we love meeting up with them!

Football Camp

Logan is doing High School (!) Football camp this summer to see if he wants to join the team in the fall. He hasn't made up his mind yet if he'll continue, but he looks pretty great in his gear!
