Santorini

I've wanted to go to Santorini since I was in my early 20s, thanks to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, so I was happy to vote for Greece when my mom asked for my opinion on where we should take this trip. I'm happy to report it did not disappoint!

We decided somewhat last minute to do the 6.5 mile hike between Fira and Oia, and we're so glad we did! It was a stunning hike with the Mediteranian Sea on one side of us and beautiful towns and resorts on the other. We got an early enough start that there was some shade and it wasn't too hot; it was just lovely.

Once we got to Oia, we wandered the town a bit and waited in a LONG line to get amazing shots of Santorini's famed blue domes.

That evening, most of us had a fun kayaking and snokling tour, though Lianna and I were the only ones brave enough to snorkle in the very cold and somewhat underwhelming Agean Sea, but when will I ever have that chance again!

We took the cable car both up and down from the water to Fira, not having time either way to take the 588 winding donkey steps (we were game to do it at least one way, but had too full an agenda)!

Santorini was my favorite...probably because it's been on my list since that movie too!
