I still read to the kids while they eat dinner. We're doing Mary Poppins right now, which is surprisingly not nearly as good as the movie. We may not even finish it...but the company is good.
I Hated that book! One exception to the rule. I loved reading to the kids but had to find just the right book. I had to be interested enough to read it but not so much that I had to finish it ahead of them. I loved 5 children and it, Heidi, Swiss Family Robinson, Secret Garden, and surprisingly, poetry...the story kind. I seem to be an old fashioned girl. We also enjoyed box car kids, Amelia Bedelia, etc too. You probably have loads of options but I can't resist throwing in my 2 cents
