Crystals

Jake got a crystal growing kit a long time ago, and we finally made the time to do it! It was really fun to watch it grow day by day!

Bouns: it glows in the dark!

Marching Band Parade

Ali and her marching band performed in our town's Memorial Day parade. It ended at a really old graveyard, and there was a sweet memorial service celebrating our veterans. We were standing behind an elderly veteran in a wheelchair who stood-very shakily- for the ceremony. It was very touching.

Happy 4th of July

Eli spent the 4th with a friend, but the rest of us enjoyed watching a local fireworks show. Glow sticks help some of us wait for it to get dark enough!

There was this random huge, heavy tire in the field. Logan managed to roll it up the hill, because, why not?!

I'm so thankful my kids have the peace, freedoms, safety, and stability that come from living in this wonderful, albeit imperfect, country.

Lego

Eli spent some of his hard-earned lawn mowing money on the Lego Home Alone house. It is a very cool set with so many amazing details from the movie - all his tricks to keep the robbers out, the basement furnace that lights up, the tarantula... it is so cool! It is a HUGE set, and he had a lot of fun building it.

Crumbl Visit

We realized we'd never been to visit Logan at work, so one night we dropped by. His coworkers had been especially excited to meet Ali, his twin. If you zoom in on the workers in the back, you can see one we know from church chuckling at the scene we were causing, and two who'd just met us peeking around the corner! The coworkers got a kick out of our visit, hopefully Logan felt loved, and we got free cookies-win, win, win!
