Gym Rat

Logan has enjoyed going to the gym 5 or 6 times a week for about a year now, and he sent me this series of pictures showing me the progress of his arms over that time. It's fun to see the progression! 

School's OUT!

School is over! We are looking forward to summer....and then 5th grade, freshman year, and two SENIORS! But first, an ice cream party celebration. 

Chem tile

Ali and her friend Linda made this tile for the Science Hallway...it turned out so great!

Junior High Graduate

Eli is officially a Junior High Graduate! He had a great experience at Bednarcik. He was in a school musical, the basketball and track teams, played trombone in the band all three years, was in choir one year, loved trying out Industrial Ed, and had great grades all three years. We're proud of him and all he accomplished! 

 

Grease

Our High School Musical this year was Grease. Ali helped out as stage crew and saw it many times, and Eli and I went to support his good friend Mason who had one of the principal roles as a Freshman (we happened to be sitting behind and to the side of Mason's parents and I really enjoyed watching them watch their son in his role that was so unlike his normal self)!

Concerts

The end of the year always means lots of fun band concerts for these two! They sounded great, as usual.

Finals beard

Logan always grows a "finals beard" during the last month of each semester. He says the beard gives him luck and helps him pull up his grades during crunch time. Before the finals beard, he had mostly Bs and a C, but ended up with these grades:

While he gives credit to the beard, I give credit to the extra work I see him putting in! Either way, good job, Logan!

 

Support Squad

My friend Bugs, the one in the middle of this group, has been struggling with health issues over the last year. Most notably, she has seizures several times a day (she's even seizing in this picture), something that had never happened to her before this year. She has been patiently and diligently trying to figure out what is going on and trying lots of treatments, which is made harder by the fact that she can't drive anymore. This group of women has stepped up to drive her to appointments and make sure she gets to all the fun stuff too (including a book club we've created recently). Honestly, I do the least amount of driving Bugs around, but I'm glad to be included in anything this group of women is doing because they are all amazing.

 

End of Year Countdown

The Elementary School always has an end-of-the-year countdown and Jake has enjoyed dressing up for some of the days. Crazy hair day:

He enjoyed all the compliments he got each day and even kept count one day (10 compliments!)
