Utah

Jason and Ali went to Utah to visit his mom for Spring Break. They went to all the necessary restaurants: Cafe Rio, Kneaders, In-and-Out, and Swig:

They toured Utah Tech:

And went to a couple of temples (when in Utah!):

But mostly, they did lots of hiking! They especially loved the couple of slot canyon hikes they found.

 

Spring Break Andventures

We had a lot of fun this spring break! Ali was in Utah with Jason, but the rest of us did something every day. First we went to Altitude and Jake spent a lot of time learning to do a flip into the foam pit, and got rewarded with $5 (promised by his brothers if he'd do it)! 

Cantigny was a must.

Another day we went to check out the Home Alone house. They humored me to do the classic Home Alone face :)

Right after the Home Alone house, we drove to the Chicago Temple. There were no other cars in the parking lot and we wondered if it was closed, and sure enough, it was! They still got their Frosties, though. We had a fun spring break!

They're 17!

Ali and Logan are 17! They both worked really late the day before their birthday, so when they got home it was a little after midnight, which meant we got to "celebrate" a little early.

They decided to have a low-key birthday and celebrate with friends after spring break because some of them were out of town. Jake was at a primary activity during the party, but he still got one of the chocolate cupcakes when he came home. They're growing up, they'll be on a mission soon!

Twinning

When you accidentally twin with your friend at work, a picture must be taken. I don't make the rules, I just follow them!

Basketball Volunteer

Eli needed some volunteer hours, so we contacted the park district, and he helped out during their winter basketball season. He usually kept score for the games, but once, he coached a team when their coach was a no-show! 

Phillips Park Zoo

We needed a little outing and so went to our little free zoo for the first time in years. They boys liked seeing this Bald Eagle so close!

Gym Pro

Logan took me, Ali and Eli to his gym and took us through a workout with him. It was great to see him in his element, and he was a fantastic coach and teacher. 

Free Ice Cream

A local ice cream place had free cones if you showed up in pajamas- free ice cream and PJs? Yes, please!
