Colorado

After St George we went to Colorado to spend time with my parents. My sister Emily and brother JD live in the area too so we got to see plenty of them and their families as well!
We found a baby bunny stuck in a basement window well, and brave Ali went down in the well and captured the bunny in this bucket to get her out!
Cousins are so fun!

Grandma found a garter snake living in her side yard, and also found a few snake skins that prove he's been living there for awhile! Eli thought it was awesome, and his mommy tried hard to be excited for him.

St George Zion's National Park

Jason was really excited to go to Zion's National Park and do the Narrow's hike while we were in St George, and Logan was excited to spend time with his dad and was a great sport to go with him.
They wore special socks and boots that made it so they couldn't feel how cold the water was (52 degrees), and walking sticks to help them keep balance in the swift moving water.

In some spots the water was up to Logan's waist!

They were gone most of the day and had a great time! The other kids and I went on an easier hike with Grandma, and it was a good thing it was because their favorite part of the hike, by far, was the ice cream treat at the end!

St George sure is pretty and we loved our visit!

St George Pools

One of our favorite parts of St George were the different pools we went to, including this one at Jason's Aunt and Uncle's house.

St George Temple

We love (and are a little jealous) that the St George Temple is only five or ten minutes from Tina's house, and we like to visit when we're there.

St George

This summer we drove out to Utah and Colorado to spend some time with our parents and the kids' grandparents. We enjoyed visiting Jason's mom in St George. We spent some time at this great park:

Glasses

Ali was getting headaches a lot so we went to the eye doctor. He said that he rarely ever sees eyes as stressed as hers in one so young ("Law students who study 16 hours a day, sure, but not usually nine-year-olds!") but I assured him it made total sense to me! This was the stack of books she checked out from the library the other day, and she had them all read in a little more than a week (a week when she was in school)!
We anxiously awaited the day the glasses would be ready to pick up and finally it came! She looks awesome in her glasses, and even better can read now without getting headaches! (Even knowing reading was what was giving her headaches couldn't stop her reading; I watched her reading one evening rubbing her head because it ached as she did!)

Battleship

Logan asked for the game Battleship and I'm super nice so he got it on a random weekend. We all have been having a great time with it ever since!
