Happy Buddy

When I sit outside watching the big kids play, I have a happy buddy on my lap. Life is good.

Dinner Reading

I still read to the kids while they eat dinner. We're doing Mary Poppins right now, which is surprisingly not nearly as good as the movie. We may not even finish it...but the company is good.

Beary Happy

Jake loves playing with this bear: you put it on his chest and he'll grab it, stick it in his mouth, and then throw it for you go pick up again. 

Solids

Like Eli before him, Jake was absolutely sure he wanted nothing to do with baby cereal until we added applesauce to it. But we were determined he have some because the doctor said it might help him throw up less, so Ali suggested after we put in a bite we quickly stick in his pacifier. She was a genius; as he would suck the pacifier he swallowed the cereal. He threw up at least his morning bottle a little bit less because of it, so that's good I guess. This throwing-up-everything phase is one I will not miss when it is gone!

Pile Ups

Sometimes they play nicely together...though in each of these cases I had to veto their original plans of having Eli on the bottom, but it all worked out in the end!

Helper

Even chores are fun with a helper like this!

But seriously...

...he's just clowning around!
